Obituary for Woodie Doyle Wiggins

Services for Woodie Doyle Wiggins will be at 10AM, Sunday, November 13, 2022 at Oak Grove Free Methodist Church, Jonesville, LA with Rev. Beau Edwards and Rev. Emitte Belgard officiating. Visitation will be from 5PM, Saturday, November 12th until time of service at 10AM, Sunday, November 13th at the church. Interment will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Rhinehart, LA under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria.

Doyle was born November 10th 1947 and gained his wings November 9th 2022. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran who loved his country and served it with honor. He loved to deer hunt and he was an avid coin and antique glass collector. Doyle was a member of Oak Grove Free Methodist Church of Sandy Lake. He loved The Lord, family, friend and politics with all his heart.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Denise Wiggins McMillin of Harrisonburg; father and mother, Woodie and Barbara Wiggins of Jonesville; sisters, Daphanie Murray of Michigan, Lizzy Mae Sikes of Jonesville, Sue Stockdale of Pineville; and niece, Michelle Zuccaro of Pineville.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 44 years, Diane Wiggins of Jonesville; son, Derek Wiggins and wife Crystal of Jonesville; daughters, Dena Wiggins of Monterey, Dana Brown and husband Derek of Jonesville; 10 grandchildren, Megan Gaspard, Carson Gaspard, Ashton Brown, Delaney Jones, Hayden Brown, Seth Jones, Nate Brown, Owen McMillin, Jonah Jones and Haylee Wiggins; brothers, Danny Wayne Wiggins and wife Beth of Jonesville and Mitch Wiggins and wife Amelda of Shreveport; sisters, Nancy McEntrye and husband Elbert of Jonesville, Ann Champlin and husband Benny of Jonesville; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Spann, Sherman Wiggins, Justin Winborne, Dustin Winborne, Woozy Sikes, Kirt Wiggins and Lee Charpentier. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Wilkerson, Carmen Butts, James Franklin, Lemar Brown. Honorary mention: Vietnam Veteran Comrades, Russell Wilbourn and Doc Roy Hatchard.
