Services for Wesley “Wes” Cornett will be at 2PM, Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Magnolia Funeral Home Masonic Chapel, Alexandria, LA with Bro. Ralph Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 5PM until 8PM, Wednesday, March 15th and from 12PM until time of service at 2PM, Thursday, March 16th at the funeral home. Interment will be at Flatwoods Cemetery, Flatwoods, LA under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria.

Wesley “Wes” Cornett, 66, passed away Friday, March 10, 2023 at his home. He loved to dance, listen to music, riding down country roads, loved his children and especially loved his wife, Sherri Kay Cornett.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ealum Cornett; brother, Carlo Cornett; grandparents, Lawrence and Polly Cornett of Hazard, KY and Corb and Gladys Melton of Cromwell, KY.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Sherri Kay Cornett of Boyce, LA; daughter, Adrienne George (Chris) of Ball, LA; son, Ryan Martin (Samantha) of Lake Charles, LA; daughters, Monica Bratcher (Brandon) of McHenry, KY, Michelle Loney (Mark) of Beaver Dam, KY and Melissa Burden (Scotty) of Beaver Dam, KY; son, James Barnes (Brittany) of Peoria, IL, and Brandon Cornett of Beaver Dam, KY; his mother, Geneva Cornett of Fordsville, KY; brother, Teman and David Cornett of Fordsville, KY; sisters, Martina Begley of Fordsville, KY and Doris Probus of Hartford; 23 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and sister-n-law, Michelle Kissellburg.

Pallbearers will be Caleb Martin, Ryan Martin, Tyler Martin, Antonio (Dre) Price, Jay Coutee and Chris Hunt.
