Services for Wayne P. Smith will be at 2PM, Saturday, May 13, 2023 at The Pentecostals of Alexandria, The G.A. Mangun Center, Alexandria, LA with Rev. Jerry Terrell, Bro. Chance Broom, Bro. Wayne Setliff and Rev. Gentry Mangun officiating. Visitation will be from 5:30 PM until 8PM, Friday, May 12th at Magnolia Funeral Home Masonic Drive Chapel, Alexandria, LA and from 11AM until time of service at 2PM, Saturday, May 13th at The G.A. Mangun Center, Alexandria, LA. Interment will be at Richey Baptist Cemetery, Deville, LA under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria.
Wayne P. Smith, 53, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Rapides Regional Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his father, Julius Smith; brother, Rocky Lee Smith; paternal grandparents, Pete and Ina Smith; maternal grandparents, George and Cecelia Setliff.
Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Merry Setliff Smith of Alexandria; sisters, Faye Lucas (David) of Deville, LA, Kay Ray (Darryl) of Gore Springs, MS; son, Timothy Bullock (Sarah) of Colorado Springs, CO; grandson, Benjamin Davis; nieces, Ambar Broom of Deville, LA, Shandale Tate (Brad) of Opelousas, LA, Bethany Philley (David) of Deville, LA and Madison Ray (Darin) of Moss Bluff, LA; nephews, Cobie Ray (Cara) of Tuscaloosa, AL, Chance Broom (Moriah) of Lakeland, FL and Jeremy Broom (Krista) of Noblesville, IN; great nephews, Christian Broom, Hankston Philley, Jacob Tate, Travis McFarlain, Juddson Philley and Mason Smith; great nieces, Adalyn and Allison Tate, Madison Broom and Jarla Northern; and a host of uncles, aunts and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Brian Jones, Brad Daniels, Errol Dupre, David Philley, Cobie Ray, Brad Tate and Chance Broom. Honorary pallbearers will be Darryl Ray, David Lucas and Hankston Philley.
