Obituary for Vera Jones
Services for Vera Ellard Jones will be at 2PM, Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Utility Baptist Church, Jonesville, LA with Rev. Tim Crooks and Rev. Dustin Robertson officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 AM until time of service at 2PM, Thursday, April 20th at the church. Interment will be at Locust Grove Cemetery, Jonesville, LA under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria.
Vera Ellard Jones, 91, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2023 in Jonesville. She was an avid gardener and always had two big gardens with fresh vegetables. She worked for years making ceramics that she sold and also made them for crafts to use at vacation bible school where she taught Sunday school. She was a certified foster parent and cared for many people over the years. She was a certified CNA and worked selflessly her entire life to help others.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Levi and Leona Ellard; husband, J.W. Jones; daughters, Joanne Wright, Aileen Cay and Brenda Warren; grandson, John Cay; and granddaughters, Beth Wright and Suzanne Cay.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Elois Lucas and Michelle Feduccia; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
