Obituary for Thelma Grace Nation
Graveside services for Thelma Grace Nation will be at 10AM, Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Little Star Cemetery, Kelly, LA with Rev. Heath Barnhill officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until time of service at 10AM, Saturday, September 24th at the cemetery under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria.
Thelma Grace Nation, 74, of Grayson, LA passed away Thursday, September 22, 2022 at her home. She was one of a kind. A caring and Godly woman who loved her Jesus and family with all of her heart. Her favorite things to do were attending church and spending time with her family. She never let an opportunity slip to tell others about what God had done for her and her family, or to share the joy she felt over her grandkids and their accomplishments. To know her was to love her, and she will forever live on in our hearts.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Donnie Nation; her parents; father and mother-in-law; granddaughter, Bridget Butler and Kassie Simons; two brothers-in-law; and several sisters and brothers.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Tammy Hinton of Holum, Randele Nation and wife Erin of Patience, AL, Donna Butler and husband Albert of Ozark, AR and Jimmie Simons and husband Kim of Holum; grandchildren, Logan and Tyrel Hinton, Christopher Butler and wife Brianna, Colten Butler and wife Katie, Anna and Kaden Nation, and Dayla and Karissa Simons; great grandchildren, MyKenna, Ethan, River, Dalton and Aleah Butler, Emma and Allie Butler; brothers, Frank, Horace Lee and Joe Lafferty; sister, Sadie; and a lot of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Kim Simons, Logan and Tyrel Hinton, Cameron Bolton, Rusty Cruse and Chandler Tomlinson.
