Obituary for T. W. Barnhill
Memorial service for TW Barnhill will be at 11am, Saturday April 8th 2023 at Outreach Baptist Church in Columbia LA with Brother Rick Berry & Brother Daniel Patton officiating. Visitation will be from 10 until time of service.
Thomas W Barnhill age 79 of Clarks, LA passed away April 1st at Citizens Medical Center.
Left to cherish his memory include his wife of 60 years, Carolyn Ann Berry Barnhill; Daughter, Teresa Barnhill Veuleman Alexander (Michael); Sons, Steve Barnhill (Charity) and Jason Barnhill (Candace); grandchildren, Dylan Sinclair (Leah), Tessa Ricks (Michael) , Dawson Veuleman, Scarlett Barnhill, Elijah Barnhill; A host of bonus grands, Morgan Freeman, Kurt Easterling, Lilianna Browning, Gracie Stokes & Shyann Alexander; Great grandchildren, Connelly Sinclair, Emerson Ricks, Conner Sinclair, Elias Ricks; His brothers, Glen Barnhill, Roy Barnhill, Sisters Jean Patton, Sue Gibson (Calvin), Blanch Gibson (Danny), Margaret Stapleton (Luther).
TW was known for his love for people and serving his community. He was a member of the police jury for over 20years and was instrumental in bringing the establishment of Citizens Medical Center into being. His greatest enjoyment was driving the school bus for over 20 years. He enjoyed being outside and working in the woods as a logging contractor for Barnhill Timber or in his garden when he wasn’t peddling (giving most of them away) strawberries or sweet potatoes.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Barnhill and Arletha Lingefelt Barnhill; Sister, Gloria Grant; Brother, Leonard Barnhill.
The family would like to thank Dr Randy Head, Dr Russell Cummings and Dr Paul and well as the AMAZING staff at Citizens Medical Center for your care and compassion for him as well as his family in the last difficult years. Cynthia Green of Haven Nursing Center for always looking out for bus driver. And last but not least, Susie Ken worthy Hughes of Haven Nursing Center for your care.
