Services for Shirley Mott Tolbert will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Sandy Lake United Pentecostal Church, Jonesville, Louisiana with Pastor Joel Ford and Reverend Bruce Lofton officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the service at 2:00 PM. Interment will be at Heard’s Cemetery, Manifest, Louisiana under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria.
Shirley Mott Tolbert, 73, passed away March 6, 2021 at Trinity Medical Center in Vidalia, LA.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Clifford E. Tolbert of Jonesville, daughters: Renea Tolbert and husband Jerome, Bethina Butler of Ferriday, LA; sons: Bruce D. Mott and wife Tabitha of Jonesville, Richard L. Mott and wife Amy of Jonesville, Troy G. Mott and wife Bertie of Jonesville, Christopher L. Mott and wife Rose of Orlando, FL, Elton E. Tolbert and wife Misty of Jonesville, Bruce E. Mott and wife Karen of Henderson, TX; special children: Wade and Tonya Brown of Jonesville, LA; sisters: Edna Wiley of Jonesville, Cloteal Rutledge of Sicily Island, LA, and Judie Lucas of Jonesville; grandchildren: Nathan Tolbert and wife Heather of Jonesville, Kayla Tolbert of Jonesville, Gregory Mott and wife Autumn of St. Louis, MO, Courtney Delhoste and husband Josh of Jonesville, Brent Mott and wife Lorin of Jonesville, Kacey DiMauro and husband Nick of Jonesville, Richard Mott Jr. and wife Mary of Jonesville, Michael Mott of Jonesville, Kelly Smith and husband Shelby of Jonesville, Caleb Heron of Jonesville, Tyler Mott of Orlando, FL, and Kaitlyn Mott of Orlando, FL; 15 great-grandchildren, and a host of special nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband, Burton D. Mott; brothers: R.L. Hardie, Lester P. Hardie, Wilburn Hardie, and Jodie Hardie; sisters: Geraldine Dupuis and Julie Guidry.
Pallbearers will be Gregory Mott, Nathan Tolbert, Brent Mott, Richard Mott Jr., Michael Mott, Tyler Mott, Josh Delhoste, Nick DiMauro and Shelby Smith. Honorary pallbearers are her great-grandsons.
