Obituary

Services for Shirley Jean Fontenot will be at 2PM, Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Good Road Pentecostal Church, Jonesville, LA with Bro. Chad Franklin officiating. Visitation will be from 10AM until time of service at 2PM, Saturday, July 25th at the church. Interment will be at Heard Cemetery, Manifest, LA under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria.

Shirley Jean Fontenot, 50, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center, Baton Rouge.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 grandchildren, Aiden Joe Mayo and Nathan Alexander Mayo.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Arthur Gene Fontenot of Jonesville; sons, Jimmy Franklin of Enterprise, James Barker II of Jonesville and Justin Barker of Harrisonburg; daughter, Michelle Barker of Jonesville; brothers and sisters, Joe Franklin Jr., Edward Leon Franklin, Jerry Chester Franklin, Earl Ray Franklin, Violet Juanita Bordelon, Frances Marie Franklin, Geneva Alexander, Chassie Renee Franklin and Kathy Ann Franklin; 13 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers will be Robert Seals, Ronnie Seals, Ricky Seals, Randy Seals, Hardy Bordelon, Travis Franklin and Joseph Franklin. Honorary pallbearer is Jerry Cowart.

Omg memories of Shirley I wouldn't know where to start I will start by saying she touched alot of people's life in alot of different ways. And she is going to be missed by many friends and family. May u rest in peace . Give my mama and daddy a hug for me and tell them I luv them . Until we meet again .
