Obituary for Sherry Leann Taylor

Sherry Leann Taylor, 1963-2023 from Jonesville, Louisiana a beloved daughter, sister, and aunt passed away Sunday in the early morning hours surrounded by her loving family at LaSalle General Hospital, after fighting a battle with cancer. Sherry is survived by her mother, Carolyn Taylor Rutledge of Jonesville, Louisiana; brother, Alan (Patsy) Taylor of Jonesville, Louisiana; brother, Steven (Amy) Taylor of Monterey, Louisiana; and sister, Annetta (Ronnie, Jr.) Book. She is preceded in death by her father the late Kenneth D. Taylor and brother Jimmy N. Taylor. Also those left to cherish her memory are her six nieces and nephews and five great nieces and nephews. Sherry was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas on September 17, 1963. She was a member of Utility Baptist Church and resident of Jonesville, Louisiana. Her fiery spirit, her love for her family, and her never failing to be seen side-kick “puppy” (beloved fur baby Precious) will never be forgotten. We will always cherish her memory and admire her will to live.

Much love and appreciation to the second floor nurses and doctors at Lasalle General Hospital for their tireless and caring dedication to her comfort. Their care and concern will forever be etched in our hearts.

Services will be presided by Bro. James Foster and Bro. Dustin Davis at Utility Baptist Church on Wednesday January 25, 2023. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM with funeral services starting at 2 PM. Burial to follow at Locust Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alan Taylor, Steven Taylor, Ronnie Book Jr., Justin Taylor, Hayden Taylor, Caleb Book, Greg Spinks, Paden Spinks, Lee Trisler, and Jason Clay.
