Obituary for Ronald Ray Factor
Ronald Ray Factor, 81, of Glenmora, Louisiana passed away on Tuesday, November, 22, 2022 from respiratory failure and a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. He was surrounded by family at home in Alexandria, Louisiana.
Ronald was born on June 1, 1941, in Iowa Falls, Iowa. He graduated from Mason City High School in 1959, and was united in marriage to Suzanne Lois (Sheridan) Factor on February 18, 1962.
Ronald was a long time member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Alexandria, Louisiana. He had the privilege and honor of serving as the Church Council President for three terms. He had a strong entrepreneurial spirit. Through his life he started several successful businesses, including Colour Classified of Louisiana for which he served as President for twenty years. He was also the founder of Factor Steel Buildings located in Marksville, Louisiana, for which he served as president for the past twenty years. He also loved to purchase real estate which he maintained through his property management company. He spent much of his free time fishing. He loved to fish with family and friends. He would take fishing trips to Alaska, Canada, Northern Minnesota and South Louisiana.
He was predeceased by his parents, Mildred Marie Factor, and Merlin “Max” Joseph Factor. And, he leaves behind, his wife Suzanne Lois Factor, his children, Max Galen Factor, Max’s wife, Michelle Riggs Factor of Tallahassee, Florida, Polly Ann Machovec of Alexandria, Louisiana, Michael Richard Factor, Michael’s wife, Kathy Factor of Chandler, Arizona, Rick Factor, Rick’s wife, Christine Factor of Chandler, Arizona, Fara Suzanne Wisdom, and Fara’s Husband, Clint D. Wisdom of Dallas, Texas. Ronald’s sister, Marilyn Sadler and her son, Scott Sadler. Grandchildren: Holly Machovec Saucier, Brandon Machovec, Noel Machovec Comeaux, Caroline Marie Factor, Catherine Brooke (Factor) Foster, Thomas Dean Factor, Alexa Caroline Factor, Andrew Michael Factor, Austin Conley Factor, Adam Joseph Factor, Ali Ray Factor, Jace David Wisdom, Luke Ronald Wisdom, Brice Michael Wisdom. Great Grandchildren: Hope Ann Saucier, Grace Marie Comeaux, Korbin James Hoey, Kyson Joseph Hoey, Lylah Claire Machovec, Brody Allen Machovec, Carmen Rose Comeaux, and Marley Jean Comeaux.
