Services for Reggie Dale Whatley will be at 2PM, Friday, June 12, 2020 at Sandy Lake United Pentecostal Church, Jonesville, LA with Rev. Joel Ford, Rev. Chad Franklin and Rev. David Poole officiating. Visitation will be from 5PM, Thursday, June 11th until time of service at 2PM, Friday, June 12th at the church. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Manifest, LA under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria.
Reggie Dale Whatley, 67, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at his home. He was a professional coon hunter, fisherman, loved to laugh, was always smiling and loved God and his family.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Nathan and Byron Whatley; parents, Pete and Evern Whatley; brother, Perry Whatley; sister, Brenda Little; brother-n-law, Jeff Keith; father-n-law, Lavelle Shirley; mother-n-law, Florine Wall Sullivan; and great nephew, Weston Brown.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 35 years, Debbie Whatley of Jonesville; daughter, Cristy Whatley Bell and husband Perry of Sicily Island; son, Chad Whatley and wife Heather of Jonesville; daughter, Candice Whatley of Jonesville; grandkids, Trey and Derrick Schrock, Tanner Boyett, Chloe and Landon Whatley; brother, Terry Whatley; sisters, Barbara Keith and Rita Bass; brother-n-law, Robert Shirley and wife Abbie; and a host of nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces.
Pallbearers will be Chad Littleton, Logan Franklin, Perry Bell III, James Franklin, Cody Pritchard and Bill Little. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Ray Franklin, Trey and Derrick Schrock.
