Pastor William Joseph “Joe” Cook was born August 18, 1962 in Philadelphia, MS to John and Sue Cook. He went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, May 10, 2023. He spent his life fulfilling God’s calling as a musician, evangelist and pastor. God called him to begin several ministries. Pastor Joe established Crossway Family Worship in March 2012. He served as Crossway’s Pastor for 11 years. Crossway is a thriving church filled with God’s love and overflowing with the anointing of God. He loved his church family dearly and compassionately and felt it a privilege and a joy to Pastor his flock. For those who knew him, serving God was his passion.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sue; father, John; brother, Butch; sister, Patricia; his paternal & maternal grandparents; and several aunts and uncles.

Pastor Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Kim Cook; son, Wes and Anita Cook, Jeremy and Brittany Wiley; brothers, Johnny Ray, Robert and Wesley; sisters, Vickie, Martha and Suzanne; his adored puppy, Chunk; and many nieces and nephews.

There will be an emptiness within each of us because of his absence. But he is walking on streets of gold, laughing and talking with Jesus making his way to his beautiful mansion. We have peace and content in knowing where he is. So, in the words of daddy Joe, we ask this question, What are you gonna do about Jesus?!
