Obituary for Nelda Wilkes
Services for Nelda Wilkes will be at 11 AM Friday, December 9, 2022 at Philadelphia Baptist Church, Pineville, LA, with Dr. Philip Robertson officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 AM Friday until time of services at the Church. Interment will follow at Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria, LA.
Nelda Wilkes, 76, of Pineville, LA, passed away December 6, 2022 at her home. She was a school teacher.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Rilla Wilkes; sister, Elaine Reed; brothers, Edward Jackson Wilkes, Eugene Wilkes, Willie Wilkes and C.J. Laird.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Sarah-Elizabeth Wilkes of Pineville, Mary-Danielle Barras and husband Charles of Mandeville and her sister, Virginia Whatley of Vidor, TX.
