Obituary for Margie Denny (Adams)

Margie Adams Denny was born on August 20, 1953 in Effie, La due to high water but was raised on Larto Lake. She died at the age of 68 on Friday January 28, 2022 at 1:50 pm at home surrounded by family. Arrangements will be handled by Magnolia Funeral Home. Visitation and funeral services will be held on Tuesday February 1st 2022 at Larto Baptist Church 107 Hwy 3102, Jonesville, La 71343 with Bro. Kenny Smith and Bro. Ronnie Wiley officiating. Family visitation will begin at 9:00 am, general visitation will begin at 10:00 am and funeral service will begin at 10:30 am. Flowers and donations may be sent. Burial will be at Pease Cemetery on Black River. Margie and Wahoo were high school sweethearts and married by Bro. Thomas Hooter on October 17th 1969 and had 52 wonderful years together. They had 3 wonderful children, 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Margie is survived by her husband, Henry Wayne "Wahoo" Denny Sr; 2 sons, Henry Wayne Denny Jr. and Lance LaRoy Denny and wife Tammy Denny; son-in-law, Eldred "Bubba" Roy; 11 grandchildren, Jordan Denny Grant and husband Carey Grant, Reagan Denny and Corey Stroud, Trey Germany, Maddy Denny, Ian Denny, Ty Denny, Kyra Denny, Wyatt Denny, Jessica Roy Clark, Bella Roy, Ryder Roy; 3 great grandchildren, Madelyn Hadder, Sofia Hadder and Braxton Stroud; 4 sisters, Annie Lee Adams Wiley of Sandy Lake, Dorothy Adams Robinson and husband Marvin Robinson of Sandy Lake, Rita Adams Scarbrough and husband David Scarbrough Sr. of Larto, Emma Adams Scarbrough and husband Dennis Scarbrough of Larto; 3 brothers, Jackie Ray Adams and wife Kathy of Larto, Milton Adams and wife Celeste of Larto, and David Adams and wife Cynthia of Vick, La. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Crystal Faye Denny Roy of Mayna; sister, Eunice Marie Adams McBride of Dierks, Ark; brother, Harold Dewayne Adams Sr. of Larto; parents, William Jack Adams and Eunice Johnson Adams; father and mother-in-law, Leroy Denny and Ethyl White Denny; 7 brother-in-laws, 2 nephews, 2 great nephews, and 1 great niece. Pallbearers are David "Da Da" Scarbrough Jr, Evan Scarbrough, Derrick Scarbrough, Johnny Ray Adams, Vincent Wiley, Dewayne Adams, Corey Stroud and Ben Adams. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons Trey Germany, Ty Denny, Wyatt Denny and Carey Wayne Grant.
