Services for Lillie Dell Smith will be at 1PM, Friday, February 14, 2020 at Sandy Lake Pentecostal Church, Jonesville, LA with Bro. Joel Ford officiating. Visitation will be from 10 AM Friday until time of services at the Church. Interment will follow at Black Gum Springs Cemetery, Harrisonburg, LA under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria, LA.
Lillie Dell Smith, 79, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at the Columns Community Care Center, Jonesville, LA.
Lillie Dell Smith was born on October 12, 1940 in Franklin Parish, LA. She was a resident of Jonesville, loved working her yard, enjoyed drinking coffee with her family and friends and spending time with all her kids and grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lena Byrnes; father, Odis Byrnes; and brother, James Byrnes all of Jonesville, LA.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 60 years, Harvey Smith of Jonesville; three daughters, Mignonne Lemmons and husband Marvin of Ball, Tammy Smart and husband Scotty of Jonesville and Cindy McEntyre and husband Daryl of Jonesville; two sisters, Faye Ferrington of Jonesville and Dottie Bowlin of Clinton and one brother, Odis (Bull) Byrnes and wife Gail of Jonesville; 6 grandchildren: Amy Melton, Joanna Crouch, Kimberly McEntyre, Sarah Calkins, Jessica Laird and Candace Brooke Bernard as well as 10 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Irving Crouch, Boyd Melton, Brian Calkins, Ricky Patten, Greg Byrnes and John Wesley Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Odis Byrnes, Joel Bernard, Jerome Patten and Jed Laird.
