Obituary for Leona Meeks Mannon
Services for Leona Meeks Mannon will be at 2PM, Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at Liberty Worship Center, Jonesville, LA, with Rev. Butch Farris, Rev. Lester Johnson and Rev. Steven Ford officiating. Visitation will be at the Church from 5PM Monday, November 30, 2020 until 9PM and from 9AM Tuesday until time of services. Interment will follow at Heard Cemetery, Manifest, LA, under direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria, LA.
Mrs. Mannon, 89, of Jonesville, LA, passed away November 28, 2020 at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria, LA. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ludy Meeks; husband, James Matthew Mannon; siblings, Jake Meeks, Maxine Meeks Matney, Verona Meeks Cahoon, Joyce Meeks Jackson, M.W. “Sonny” Meeks and grandson, James Daniel White.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Faye Mannon Humphries and husband Gary Don of Jena, Gayle Mannon Grant of Jonesville, Brenda Mannon Farris and husband Butch of Jonesville, Dianne Mannon Rider of Waldo, AR, Darla Mannon Longino of Waldo, AR, Di Di Mannon Sones of Jonesville, Terri Mannon Cotton and husband Tom of Jonesville and Patricia Perkins White and husband Randy of Jonesville; brother and sister, D.A. Meeks and Patricia Meeks Swindle; grandchildren, Donnie Humphries and wife Leah, David Humphries and wife Kristie, Melissa Posey and husband Terry, Chris Ganey and wife Charlia, Sheila Farris Duncan and husband Yankie, John Joseph Farris and wife Chasity, Whitney Farris Wiggington, James Clint Rider and wife Shannon, Megan Longino Eads and husband Josh, Kelli Longino, Ashley Sones Arp and husband Chris, Rod Sones and wife Amber, Seth Cotton and wife Reagan, Sarah Cotton, Ty White and wife Amy, Jordie White and wife Erika; 39 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren; her baby Chewey, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
