Obituary for Leo Joseph Manuel
Graveside services for Leo Joseph Manuel will be at 10AM, Saturday, July 16, 2022 at St. Martin of Tours Cemetery, Hessmer, LA. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until time of service at 10AM, Saturday, July 16th at the cemetery under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria.
Leo Joseph Manuel was born November 6, 1952 in Pineville and passed away Saturday, July 9, 2022 at his home in Alexandria, LA. He was an equipment operator and also worked in construction in 1970’s in Louisiana, Texas and Tennessee. He married Dorothy June 17, 1973. His passion was always making people laugh.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Verlin Rachal and Wilford Manuel; brother, Vance Manuel; brother-n-law, JP Joseph Delaune Sr.; nephew, JP Joseph Delaune Jr.; In-laws, Emma Jean Davis and James Andrew Collins; and sister-n-law, Debra Collins Green.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 49 years, Dorothy Manuel; children, Eric Manuel, Wilford Manuel and Jenny Manuel; numerous grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; one brother, Wayne Manuel (Sally); seven sisters, Christine Manuel, Lynn Moras, Tina Derrick, Paulette Gilmore, Erica Manuel, Holly Manuel, Eloise Manuel and Gayle Williams; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Manuel, Christina Manuel, Andrew Manuel, Annie Manuel, Dominic Manuel and Joseph Manuel.
