Services for Karen “Lanette” Book will be at 12PM, Monday, January 23, 2023 at Oak Grove Free Methodist Church, Jonesville, LA with Bro. Beau Edwards officiating. Visitation will be from 10AM until time of service at 12PM, Monday, January 23rd at the church. Interment will be at Palo Alto Cemetery, Mayna, LA under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria.
Lanette, 71, of Jonesville, LA passed away Friday, January 20, 2023 at her home. She loved to camp and travel. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Special thanks to all the members of Oak Grove Free Methodist Church and Heart of Hospice.
She was preceded in death by her father, LW “Cub” Watson; niece, Tessa Watson; and sister-n-law, Karen Watson.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Layne Book; children, Casey Book (Charlie) and Hollie Sanders (Chris); grandchildren, Silton Book, Braeden Book, Cullen Book, Bella Book, Ben Good, Dannie Good, Carson Sanders and Laynie Sanders; mother, Wilma Watson; brother, Doyle Watson; nephew, Kevin Watson (Chasity); special friends, June and Steve Alexander; numerous brother and sister in laws; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Wayne Wiley, Houston Book, johnnie Ray Adams, Barrette Book, Devon McGraw and Dylan McGraw. Honorary Pallbearers will be the men of Oak Grove Free Methodist Church.
