Jay Ray Hyde, 77, passed away July 2, 2020, at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria, LA.
J.R. served in the U.S. Army from November 14, 1959 to August 31, 1961 when he was honorably discharged.
He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Ray Weaver of Many, LA; his mother, Elva Beck of Jonesville, LA; two brothers, Sammy Joe Hyde of Jonesville, LA and Grady Lamar Hyde of Jonesville, LA.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 52 years, Jackie Mott Hyde; four sons, James Flaherty and wife Vickie of Trout, LA, Waylon Hyde and wife Whitney of Wisner, LA, Sammy Hyde and wife Amanda of Ball, LA, Toby Hyde and wife Tonya of Morgantown, NC; two daughters, Connie Hyde Clark of Jonesville, LA and Kristi Hyde Hooper and husband Brian of Lenoir, NC; his brother, Allen Hyde and wife Liz of Farmerville, LA; J.R. had fourteen grandkids and eleven great grandkids as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
