Obituary for James O. Barnhill
Well done thy good and faithful servant.
James was born March 2, 1946 to A.D. (Bill) and Dorothy Barnhill and he passed from this life March 27, 2020. James was truly a man of God. He loved the Lord, his church and family. He was not a materialistic man and would rather be giving than receiving. He was a man of few words but big actions. To know him was to love him and he will be greatly missed by all.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Ronnie Gene & Billy Boyd; 3 brothers; and 2 sisters.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 53 years, Nancy Wagner Barnhill; sons, Chris Barnhill and wife Lori of Olla, LA and Clay Barnhill of West Monroe; his 8 precious grandchildren, Cierra Adams (Bradley), Christa Walters (Logan), Ty Barnhill, Dorri Barnhill (Matthew), Dayne Barnhill, Royne Barnhill, Ashley Spillman (Michael) and Dakota Barnhill (Jaclyn); 11 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, 6 sisters; a host of nieces, nephews and many others. Also let to cherish his memory are the ones who proudly called him Poppa, his church grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ty Barnhill, Kyle Barnhill, Dakota Barnhill, Dayne Barnhill
Royne Barnhill and Logan Walters.
Graveside services will be at 11AM, Monday, March 30, 2020 at Pine Grove Apostolic Cemetery, Kelly, LA with Rev. Johnny Barnhill & Rev. Heath Barnhill officiating under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria.
A memorial service for all friends and family to attend will be held at a later date.
