Services for James Mathus Brewer will be at 1PM, Monday, January 3, 2022 at Fellowship Baptist Church, Trout, LA with Pastor Shad Tibbs officiating. Visitation will be from 11AM until time of service at 1PM, Monday, January 3rd at the church. Interment will be at Jena Cemetery, Jena, LA under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria.

James M. Brewer, 60, passed away Friday, December 31, 2021at his residence. He enjoyed welding/fabricating, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by sister, Rebecca Brewer; grandparents, Stella and Floyd Mathus Brewer and Lillian Nugent and Ed Taylor.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 41 years, Paula Burlew Brewer; daughters, Kylie Brewer Humphries (Will) and Taylor Brewer Esters (Logan); grandchildren, Audrey Humphries, Easton Humphries and Madelyn Esters; parents, Dean and Nancy Brewer; siblings, Deana Jo Graham (Leon) and Cherie Brewer; mother-n-law, Margaret Atkins; sister-n-law, Jacqueline Burlew; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be Will Humphries, Logan Esters, Dusti Robertson, Zayde Farley, James Gulde and Malcomb Strozier. Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Stuckey, Leon Graham and Brent Farley.
