Obituary for Huey Norris
Services for Huey Pierce Norris will be at 4PM, Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Beulah Baptist Church, Winnfield, LA with Bro. Lamar Carpenter officiating. Visitation will be from 1PM until time of service at 4PM, Saturday, September 12th at the church. Interment will be at Starks Cemetery, Georgetown, LA under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria.
Huey Pierce Norris, 91, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at his home. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the US Navy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Louise Blackshear Norris; father, Matthew Lee Norris Sr.; mother, Ebbie Pearl Sweat Norris; brothers, Matthew Lee Norris Jr. (Jimmy Lee); Dorman Brewster Norris, Gerald Brian Norris Sr.; sister, Joyce Yvonne Russo.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Melanie Floyd and husband Dale of Georgetown; 3 grandchildren, Miranda Morgan and husband Trey of Georgetown, Joshua Rousseau and Emily of Georgetown and Trestan Rousseau of Georgetown; 4 great grandchildren, Lindsi, Eli, Gage, Deakon; sister, Dorothy Mildred Hayes of Baton Rouge, LA; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Rousseau, Treston Rousseau, Gerald Norris Jr., Chance Norris, Nathan G. Roberts and Kendall Hudson. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Ray Norris, Trey Morgan and Christian Roberson.
