Obituary for Gordon Ray Wyles
Funeral for Gordon Ray Wyles will be at 10 a.m. March 4th 2023 at Oak Grove Free Methodist Church, 3578 Hwy 923, Jonesville, LA . Service will be led by Bro. Beau Edwards.
It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
Gordon Ray Wyles, 78, whom resided in Jonesville LA was born on 12/13/44 in Harrisonburg, LA and passed away on 2/25/2023 at Rapides Regional Hospital in Alexandria, LA
Gordon’s laugh and smile was always contagious. He never let a day go by without cracking a joke or two. And he never passed a stranger while out and about. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Gordon is survived by his daughter Amanda Wyles of Jonesville LA, his grandchildren Harleigh Dawson and Paxton Atkins of Jonesville LA, his sister Clara Fults of Orange TX, his brothers Dee Wyles (Sarah Wyles) of Vidalia LA and Jay Wyles of Arkansas; sister in law, Shirley Wyles Watson of Arkansas and Luke Book of Tullos LA, who Gordon and Frances raised from a young child. Along with many more loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Benjamin David Wyles (B.D.,) his mother, Maude White Wyles, his wife, Frances Coker Wyles, son, Thomas Wyles, brothers Shelby Wyles and Earl Wyles, sister, Nell Hardie, and Logan Book.
Interment will be privately held at the Pine Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested plants or a donation to the American Cancer Society.
