Services for Eula Inez Reed White Aswell will be at 2PM, Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Good Road Pentecostal Church, Jonesville, LA with Rev. Chad Franklin and Rev. Bryan Taylor officiating. Visitation will be from 12PM until time of service at 2PM, Wednesday, February 24th at the church. Interment will be at White’s Ridge Cemetery, Jonesville, LA under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria.
Eula Inez Reed White Aswell passed peacefully from this life in Jonesville and went to be with our Lord on February 21, 2021 at the age of 88. She was a member of Good Road Pentecostal Church, loved to write poetry and songs. She was probably best known for her cooking skills. She was a loving mother, grandmother and wife. She dedicated her life to God as a young lady and served him all her life. It’s said her neighbors could hear her praying for hours under the hill where she grew up at. “…when mama prayed, things happened”.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Emma Briggs Reed; brother, J.C. Reed; and her husbands, A.C. White and Silas Aswell.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Sharon Tomlinson of Jonesville; son, Rickey White and wife Vickie of Pineville; four grandchildren, Julie Tomlinson of Jonesville, Hope Mayo (Wes) of Broussard, Jodie Tomlinson (Heather) of West Monroe and Jessica Curtis (Shawn) of Ankeny, Iowa; seven great grandchildren, Isaac Bath of Jena, Elliana Bath of Jonesville, Emma Tomlinson and Finn Tomlinson of West Monroe, Jackson Mayo of Broussard and William and Matthew Curtis of Ankeny, Iowa; one great-great grandchild, Addy Smart of West Monroe.
Pallbearers will be Barry Gordon, Tad Tiser, Jerry Gentry, Richard Tiser, Isaac Bath and Jody Tomlinson.
