Obituary for Ernest LeRoy Hodge Jr.
Memorial services for Ernest LeRoy Hodge, Jr. will be at 3PM, Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Latanache Baptist Church, Batchelor, LA. We welcome family and friends to start gathering for reminiscing at 2PM.
Ernest LeRoy Hodge, Jr., 77, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Rapides Regional Center. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, the Louisiana Army National Guard, and a member of the Alexandria/Pineville Veterans Honor Guard. He was a humble man that loved card games, Chinese checkers, puzzles, and the NRA. He worked hard, loved big, and gave big. He overcame many adversities. We are especially thankful to the late Cal Moody and his family for a life-time of endless compassion. We also extend our sincere gratitude to Ashley Alongio for support during this difficult time.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Juan Hodge; and parents, Buck Hodge and Autie Hodge.
Those left to cherish his memory include his 2 brothers, Huey Hodge and Foy Hodge; 4 daughters, Brandy Milan, Charity Dye, Marchelle Munson and Dee Dee Irvin; 7 nieces and nephews; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; numerous great nieces and nephews; ex-wife, Eugenia Urgo; ex-sister-in-law, Janie Smith.
