Obituary for Donna Edwards (McDade)
Services for Donna Edwards will be at 12PM, Saturday, March 13th 2021 at Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria, LA with David McDade officiating. Visitation will be from 10am-12pm, Saturday, March 13th 2021 at the funeral home. Interment will be at Chatham Cemetery, in Chatham, Louisiana under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria, LA.
Donna Kay Edwards, age 61, passed away Tuesday, March 9th 2021 at Rapides Hospital. She was a loving and caring, wife, mother, Mawmaw, sister, and friend. She loved working food service for the RPSB for 12 years. If you knew Donna she loved her plants, building fires, and riding her lawnmower. She will be loved and miss by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her father James E McDade, mother Louise “Fonk Fonk” McDade Pardee, sister, Shelia McDade "Sissy" Deasdier; and brother, James “Bubba” McDade.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 32 years Ray Edwards; brother David McDade (Edwina); sister Sherry Holton (Jimmy); sons Jason Lawrence (Candace) and Jeremy Edwards (Samanthia); daughters Geanne Hammond (Todd), Melissa Guild (George), and Jessica Edwards; grandsons Michael Lawrence jr, Thomas Guild, and Tyler Israel. Granddaughters Kayla Lawrence, Kassidy Lawrence, Jada Pardee, Riana Pardee, Maisie Guild, Alyssa Hammond, Jazmyne Edwards, Alay’jah Hammond, and Makalyne Edwards. Donna is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and family.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Jimmy Adams, Jathan Garner, Thomas Guild, and Todd Hammond. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Lawrence, Michael Lawrence, and Jeremy Edwards.
