Services for Derwin Harris will be at 2PM, Monday, December 27, 2021 at Church of God, Jena, LA with Rev. Kent Hatfield officiating. Visitation will be from 10AM until time of service at 2PM, Monday, December 27th at the church. Interment will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Rhinehart, LA under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria.

Derwin Harris, 63, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at LaSalle Nursing Home, Jena. He loved to fish and hunt. His most famous hunt was killing a bobcat. He loved walking and enjoying the outdoors, drinking coffee and smoking.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Harris; brothers, Malcomb Harris, Shelton Harris and Cooter Harris.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sister, Delba Harris Hudnall; niece’s, Misty Hudnall Pellerin, Amanda Hudnall Ingle and Taryn Harris Pearson; nephews, Kelwin Harris, Kimbel Harris, Marty Harris, Little Mac Harris, Allan Harris and Waylon Hudnall.

Pallbearers will be Kimbel Harris, John Ingle, Brannon Ingle, Brody Ingle, Payton Tingle and Waylen Pellerin.

The family would like to give a special thanks and gratitude to his LaSalle Nursing Home family for all the love and care given over the years.
