Obituary for Denise McMillin (Wiggins)
Services for Denise McMillin will be at 10AM, Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Oak Grove Free Methodist Church, Jonesville, LA with Bro. Michael Boyd and Bro. Beau Edwards officiating. Visitation will be from 5PM until 9PM, Saturday, October 3rd and from 8AM until time of service at 10AM, Sunday, October 4th at the church. Interment will be at Harrisonburg Cemetery, Harrisonburg, LA under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria.
Denise found her wings suddenly on Tuesday 29th 2020 and leaves behind a family knowing their lives won’t be the same without her. She was born in 1980, attended Block High School and knew most of Catahoula Parish from having worked several prominent businesses in the parish. Denise had a wide interest of hobbies that included flowers, pets, hunting artifacts, motorcycles and time on the bayou. She and her husband Myles lived in Harrisonburg with their son Owen, and leaves behind many friends and neighbors who will remember her for the fieriness, humor and kindness.
Denise is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Bill and Arlean Coker, paternal grandparents Woodie and Barbara Wiggins and mother in law Evelyn McMillin.
Denise is survived by her husband Myles McMillin, a daughter Megan Gaspard, son Carson Gaspard, son Owen McMillin and a stepdaughter, Cynthia McGuffee. Her parents are Doyle and Diane Wiggins, Siblings Dana and Derek Brown, Dena Wiggins and fiancé Blake Taunton, Derek and Crystal Wiggins with many nieces, nephews and two grandchildren from her step daughter.
Pallbearers will be Heath McGuffee, Paul Lemke, John Bourgoyne, Mark Holloway, Christopher Spann and Sherwin Wiggins.
