Obituary for Charlotte Guillot

Charlotte Ann Buckley Guillot passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 14, 2024. She was 62.

She is survived by her children: Josh Guillot (Melissa) and Alexa Lemoine (Chad), both of Pineville; five grandchildren: Maddalyn Lemoine, Tyler Brown, Kadence Lemoine, Baylen Guillot and Brooklyn Guillot; one brother: Brian Buckley of Pollock.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Dale Buckley and Lula Buckley Norman, step-father A.J. Norman, and her brother Scott Buckley.

Born and raised in Central Louisiana, she spent most of her childhood in Alexandria. She was a 1979 graduate of Alexandria Senior High. She attended beauty school and began her cosmetology career.

After welcoming her two children into the world, she took on a dental assistant job to support her growing family then eventually settled in Tioga. Both Josh and Alexa graduated from Tioga High School and settled close to home. They both married and gave Charlotte the true loves of her life- her grandchildren.

Charlotte never missed an opportunity to spend time with her grands, who lovingly referred to her as “Gram”. She loved everything about them and never missed a school play, dance recital, tee-ball or football game. Nothing could keep her from her babies.

Deep down, Charlotte was an eccentric soul. She was very talented. She was an artist, and loved to paint. On any day you could find her sipping on coffee and working on her art pieces or enjoying a good movie. She took immense joy relaxing in the ocean breeze every chance she got to travel to the beach with her family.

Charlotte loved her children and grandchildren. With her family, she truly accomplished what she wanted to in life.

A visitation memorial will be held at Magnolia Funeral Home 7357 Masonic Dr. Alexandria, La 71301, Friday, January 26, 2024, from 5:30 – 8PM.
