Obituary for Bro. Marion Harvey Trisler Jr.

Services for Marion Harvey Trisler Jr. will be at 11AM, Friday, July 22, 2022 at Jonesville Church of God, Jonesville, LA with Bro. Tim Crooks, Bro. Gary Alwell, Bro. Brad Crooks, Bro. Pervan Paul and Bro. Lloyd Trisler officiating. Visitation will be from 9AM until time of service at 11AM, Friday, July 22nd at the church. Interment will be at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Jonesville, LA under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria.

Marion Harvey Trisler Jr. passed in peace Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at the age of 95. A lifetime member of this community, he will always be remembered as the highest example of a Godly man. Jr. began The Jonesville Church of God in 1972 and lead his congregation for 50 years. He traveled the US and several other countries spreading the word of God. The world is a lesser place without him. He had a full and blessed life and now gets to go to his true home and spend eternity with his Savior.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma; parents, Marion and Elizabeth Trisler; siblings, Jimmy Trisler and Louis Deville; son-n-law, Jack “Pete” Tolar; his beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Joann Tolar and her children, Mark Tolar and wife Barbara, Paige Peoples and husband Jeff and Erin Bergeron and husband Blake; son, Buddy Trisler and wife Sharon and their children, Mandy Edwards and husband Dan, Jake Trisler and Clay Trisler; daughter, Debbie Manning and husband John and their children, Amy White and husband Ty, and Wendi Barrett and husband Josh; great grandchildren, Lyndsey Huston and husband Rob, Lynsey Rockwell and husband Wesley, Landon, Jesse and wife Errin, Ross Peoples and wife Rachel, Ella, Mia, Syd and fiancé Brennon, Wes, Jubilee, Gaige, Carlee, Sophie, Lilly, Trey, Kennedy, Reece, Tatum and Rosalie; great-great grandchildren, Finnley, Millie, Aubrey, Emma, Olivia, Zachery and Bridget. He is also survived by five special friends that have become family the last year of his life, Lilly Butler, Lynell Hatten, Michelle Brigman, Alethea Fisher and Chris Calkins. He loved them all dearly and we were so blessed by them. The family would also like to thank Enhabit Hospice and VA Home Services for their care during this time.

Pallbearers will be Mark Tolar, Landon Tolar, Jesse Baker, Clay Trisler, Reece Trisler, Jake Trisler and Wes White. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Peoples, Blake Bergeron, Ty White, Dan Edwards, Josh Barrett, Wesley Rockwell and Gaige Shovan.
