Services for Brenda Cay Kornegay will be at 1 PM, Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Eva Church of God, Monterey, LA, with Rev. John Rushing officiating. Visitation will be at the Church on Thursday from 11 AM until time of services. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Rhinehart, LA, under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria, LA.

Brenda Cay Kornegay, 70, of Monterey, LA, passed away Monday, January 16, 2023 in Natchez, MS. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmitt and Clarice Gerald; brother, Richard Gerald and sister, Velda Wisner.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Shelby Ballard (Danyelle Miller) of Natchez, MS and Brian Ballard (Rachel) of Jayess, MS; daughter, Holly Ballard (James Pecanty) of Monterey, LA; 8 grandchildren, Caitlin Ballard, Breanna Paulk, Alexis Ballard, Charlette Williams, Madison Latil, Brooklyn Ballard, Macey Ballard and Hunter Rachal; 2 great grandchildren, Isabella Williams and Blake Williams; niece and nephews, Sarah Doolittle, Sherwin Wisner, Matt Wisner, Nathan Wisner, Ricky Wisner and Joey Wisner and special friend, Karen Burt.

Pallbearers will be Shelby Ballard, Brian Ballard, Billy Maxie, Clint King, William Paulk and James Pecanty.
