Services for Ben Netherland will be at 2PM, Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Good Road Pentecostal Church, Jonesville, LA with Rev. Chad Franklin and Rev. Bryan Taylor officiating. Visitation will be from 3PM, Saturday, October 1st until time of service at 2PM, Sunday, October 2nd at the church. Interment will be at Heard Cemetery, Manifest, LA under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria. Ben Netherland, 80, of Jonesville, LA passed away Friday, September 30, 2022. Ben worked in the oilfield as a pumper. He loved hunting and listening to his deer dogs running. He loved his family dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Philisty Netherland; brothers, Sylvester Netherland and Tip Netherland; and sister, Gracie Stump. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 59 years, Melinda Netherland of Jonesville; sons, Richie Netherland and wife Lisa of Jena and Todd Netherland and wife Deon of Sicily Island; daughter, Phyllis Richey and husband Grady of Franklinton; grandsons, Tyler Netherland and wife Bree, Will Richey, DaWhite Netherland, Jacob Whatley and Kevin Richey; special nephew, Tuffy Book; brothers, Buddy Netherland and wife LeAnn and Clayton Netherland and wife Phyllis; sister, Millie Murry and husband Acie; sister-n-law, Charlene Netherland; brother-n-law, Coy Book; numerous other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Will Richey, Tyler Netherland, DaWhite Netherland, Carl Brannon, Bill Crawford, Tuffy Book and Jacob Whatley.
