Obituary for Alvin "Al" Tyler
Services for Alvin “Al” W. Tyler will be at 1PM, Friday, December 9, 2022 at Vick Baptist Church, Vick, LA with Bro. Arlie Rowley officiating. Visitation will be from 5PM until 9PM, Thursday, December 8th and from 10AM until time of service at 1PM, Friday, December 9th at the church. Interment will be at Vick Baptist Church Cemetery, Vick, LA under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria.
Alvin “Al” W. Tyler, 65, of Deville, LA passed away Monday, December 5, 2022 at Rapides Regional Medical Center. He was man of faith and God was first and foremost in his life. He loved his family and deeply and always had a word of advice and a listening ear. His favorite saying was “11:59”. He was most happy camping on a creek bank, fishing and cooking over a fire.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Murl Tyler and Lizzy Mary Paulk; siblings, Glenda Parker and Arnold Tyler; and step father, Dewey Paulk.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Brenda Tyler; children, Chris Tyler (Amanda), Daniel Tyler (Ashley) and Nicole Trahan (Waylon); grandchildren, Krissy Miller, Sarah Hostetler, Amber Simons, Brian Tyler, Bethany Tyler, Jaeden Baker, Danyelle Weatherly, Daniel Jr. Tyler, Michael Tyler and Adaya Trahan; great grandchildren, Kevin Miller, Ariana Weatherly, Thomas Weatherly, Clayton Tyler, Colton Tyler, Dakota Tyler and one on the way; brothers, Murl Tyler (Joan) and Henry Tyler (Karen); and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Michael Tyler, Dan Tyler, Brian Tyler, Joe Hostetler, Bill Miller, Jaeden Baker and Chase Weatherly.
